Founded in 2016 by Professor Adam Beaumont, NorthInvest is a not-for-profit organization based in Leeds, United Kingdom. It aims to champion Northern tech and fuel the early-stage economy by providing connections to early-stage funding for tech start-ups in the North of England. The organization focuses on sectors such as healthtech, fintech, sustainability, AI, and media. NorthInvest has facilitated over £41 million in equity investment and grant funding into Northern-based tech start-ups to date. In 2022, it was recognized as the Angel Group of the Year at the UKBAA Awards.
