Founded in 2014 by Benjamin Wattinne and Georges Viglietti, Sowefund is a Paris-based equity crowdfunding platform that democratizes startup investing by allowing individuals to invest alongside professional investors. The platform has facilitated over €120 million in investments across more than 140 startup funding rounds as of 2025. Sowefund is registered as a Conseiller en Investissements Participatifs (CIP) and a Prestataire de Services de Financement Participatif (PSFP) under the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), ensuring compliance with French and European crowdfunding regulations. In October 2023, Sowefund was acquired by Founders Future, a French venture capital firm, while continuing to operate independently under its established brand.
