Your continued use of the Services after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Nature of the Services
The Hopohopo Platform connects companies with various startup ecosystem participants, such as startups, investors, accelerators, incubators, events, competitions, corporates, and other entities. Our platform facilitates communication, information sharing, and matchmaking features designed to help users connect and collaborate.
By using the matchmaking features, you consent to Hopohopo’s use of your data—such as profile information and activity—to identify and recommend potential connections. You are not obligated to engage with any recommendations.
All content and information on the Services are provided solely for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of such information, and you assume all responsibility for decisions made based on it.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3.2 Account Registration
Certain features may require you to create an account. In doing so, you agree to:
- Provide true, accurate, and complete information.
- Update your information promptly if it changes.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
3.3 Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm the Services or other users.

5.2 License to Hopohopo
By submitting User Content, you grant Hopohopo a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display such content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Services. We will not use your business-sensitive data for unrelated purposes without your explicit consent.
5.3 Responsibility for User Content
You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to post your User Content. You bear full responsibility for your User Content and any consequences arising from its submission. We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to any User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law, at our sole discretion.
6. Privacy and Security
6.1 Data Protection
Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains our data collection, use, and disclosure practices.
6.2 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You acknowledge that any information you share through the Services is at your own risk.
6.3 Confidentiality
All information shared by companies, users, or other participants while using the Platform will be treated as confidential, except for information that is publicly available or explicitly designated as non-confidential by the disclosing party. Recipients agree to keep such information confidential and not disclose it to third parties or use it for unauthorized purposes. Confidential information may only be shared internally with individuals who need access for making informed business decisions regarding the disclosing party.
If you or your representatives breach this confidentiality obligation, the disclosing party has the right to request that you (i) immediately cease the breach, (ii) return or relinquish any benefits gained from the breach, and (iii) compensate for any damages incurred as a result.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Hopohopo’s Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, all content, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property related to the Services are owned or licensed by Hopohopo. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or exploit any portion of the Services without our prior written consent.

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you.
8. Third-Party Links and Resources
The Services may include links to third-party websites or resources. Hopohopo does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the availability, accuracy, or content of these external sites. Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk.
9. External Services
Certain services operated by third parties ("External Services") may be made available through or in connection with the Platform. External Services may access, process, and transmit your information if authorized by you.
Hopohopo does not endorse or assume responsibility for External Services. Your use of such services is at your own risk and subject to any agreements you have with the respective service providers. Hopohopo makes no warranties regarding External Services and is not liable for any issues arising from their use.
10. Fees and Billing
10.1 Subscription Fees
Registering an individual user account is free. However, certain Services require a subscription. Details about subscription plans and fees are available in the Pricing section of the Platform. You may choose between monthly or annual subscriptions and pay via credit card unless otherwise agreed.
If you start a subscription with a free trial, you will not be charged until the end of the trial period. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert into a paid plan and your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee plus any taxes. You will receive a reminder email before the end of the trial, and you may cancel at any time before billing begins via your profile’s Settings page.
10.2 Taxes
Subscription fees do not include applicable taxes. You are responsible for covering any additional taxes due in your jurisdiction.
10.3 Refund Policy
All fees and payments are non-refundable. No refunds will be provided once Services have been rendered.
10.4 Changes to Fees
We may change our fees with a minimum of 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Services after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hopohopo disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and freedom from errors or interruptions.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 Platform as a Connector
Hopohopo provides a platform and tools to connect companies with various startup ecosystem entities. We do not endorse any company or entity using the Platform, nor do we guarantee the accuracy of information provided by users. You assume all risks associated with your activities on the Platform.
12.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hopohopo and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services. In no event shall Hopohopo’s total liability exceed the amount you paid to Hopohopo for the Services during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or 500 euros, whichever is lower.
Some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hopohopo and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
14. Changes to the Services
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations.
15. Termination
15.1 By Hopohopo
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.
15.2 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@hopohopo.io.
15.3 Survival
Provisions of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination will remain in full force and effect, including those related to ownership, disclaimers, indemnities, and limitations of liability.
16. Cancelling Subscription and Deleting Your User Account
16.1 Cancelling Subscription
You may terminate your subscription at any time under the Settings menu on your profile. Upon termination, no refunds will be provided for the remaining subscription period. Recurring payments will be canceled automatically.
16.2 Deleting Your Account
You may delete your user account, company profile, or deal room at any time through the Settings menu or by contacting support. If you have applied for startup programs, the program administrator may keep a copy of the information you shared in your application. If you have not logged in for one year, we reserve the right to delete your account.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Services are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Finland to resolve any disputes.
18. Miscellaneous
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, represent the entire agreement between you and Hopohopo regarding your use of the Services, superseding any prior agreements.
18.2 Waiver and Severability
Failing to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver. If any provision is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
18.3 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Hopohopo may freely assign its rights and obligations.
18.4 No Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms do not create any rights for third parties.
