Osney Capital Overview

Osney Capital is a sector-specialist venture capital firm focused exclusively on the early-stage cybersecurity sector in the UK. Established in 2021 and headquartered in Cheltenham, the firm is led by founders Adam Cragg, Josh Walter, and Paul Wilkes, who collectively bring decades of experience in technical, commercial, and regulatory environments related to cyber and national security, as well as early-stage investing. In April 2025, Osney Capital announced the first close of its debut fund, which was oversubscribed from its original target of £50 million, marking it as the UK's first specialist cybersecurity seed fund. The fund received a cornerstone commitment of up to £36 million from the British Business Bank through its Enterprise Capital Funds programme. Osney Capital plans to invest in 30 portfolio companies at pre-seed and seed stages, writing cheques between £250,000 and £2.5 million, with capacity for follow-on investments in Series A rounds. Prior to launching this fund, the team made several investments into early-stage UK cyber companies, including MindGard, Sitehop, RevEng.AI, and ESProfiler.
