InsuResilience Solutions Fund Overview
The InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) is an initiative established and funded by KfW Development Bank on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Managed by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, ISF aims to develop and implement innovative and sustainable climate risk insurance products in developing and emerging countries. The fund supports partnerships between public entities, private insurance companies, and NGOs to create insurance solutions that enhance the resilience of vulnerable populations against climate change impacts. ISF offers grant-based co-funding of up to EUR 2.5 million and provides advisory services to transform climate risk insurance concepts into market-ready products or to scale successfully piloted products. Since its inception in 2019, ISF has launched multiple calls for proposals, receiving over 120 applications and signing several grant agreements for product development support across various regions.
